About this site

Refuge developed this website in partnership with National Domestic Abuse Helpline advisers and domestic abuse survivors. Refuge is continuing to develop more digital channels through which women fleeing domestic abuse can seek support.

Refuge is grateful for the generous support and passion from Mirum, the agency which designed the website. Refuge has also benefitted from the support from Sitecore and other partners.

Refuge would like to thank the funders of the National Domestic Abuse Helpline; the Home Office, Comic Relief, London Councils, and Refuge’s individual and corporate partners.

About Refuge

Refuge is an independent, specialist charity that supports women fleeing domestic abuse and other forms of gender-based violence. We have been doing this work since 1971. Our specialist services now support around 6,500 women and children on any given day. Refuge ran the National Domestic Abuse Helpline in partnership with Women's Aid between 2003 and 2019, and has been running the Helpline as sole provider since 1 November 2019.
